Since 1970, PRIDE activities have been held throughout the month of June. Drawing from diverse sources – the Book of Proverbs, Merriam-Webster, U2’s Bono, Pride Month history, Unitarian Universalism values, and our own experiences – we will consider the complexity and power of the notion of “pride.” This service helps wrap up the Spring Adult RE consideration of how to best be allies for trans people, focusing on affirmation and dignity in the name of love. How can we all celebrate pride in June, but not only in June?
