Sunday Service-February 8: “Black History Month.”

Hopedale presents a biography of Rosa Parks.  The speaker is Patricia Ellis who traveled with Rosa Parks with the Pathway to Freedom tour across the United States and Canada in 1997.  Patricia Ellis, an African American specialist, taught social studies in the public schools for 34 years and served on the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center as one of its original board members.  She received her education at Central State, Xavier and the University of Louisville.  Service Leader: Eunice Meadows.

Second Sunday collection will go to the UUA’s Standing on the Side of Love initiative, in support of their alliance with the #BlackLivesMatter Movement.  RE class day.
