Sunday Service, May 5th “Lessons of the Midwife.”

On International Midwife Day, we will look at the history of midwives, their historic roles, and their contemporary roles, and we will consider how we all can be play the role of “midwife” for creativity, for our spiritual journey, and for peace. Diane Wright will speak. Patty Klingenberg is service leader.

Sunday Service – April 28 -Spring Break on the Border.

 Last month, several Miami University students spent their spring break not on the beach, but on the U.S.-Mexico border studying iimmigration. Our Social Action Committee helped with their expenses, and today we’ll learn some of what they learned. The service begins at 10:30am. Children’s Religious Education and Childcare are available. 

Sunday Service – April 21-Saving the Earth-One Seed at a Time.

In honor of Earth Day, Miami University Associate Professor of Botany Alfredo Huerta will join us to talk about saving seeds and about genetically modified organisms. March 24 – Dr. Kathy McMahon-Klosterman will present excerpts from the film”Iron Jawed Angels,” based on the true story of Alice Paul and others who worked for women’s right to vote.
