SJ Sunday: Picnic at Merry Day Park

June 10, 12 PM- Everybody has a right to live: Picnic at Merry Day Park, discuss new Oxford Community Choice Pantry with speakers Lara Osborne and Chris Shoker from the Community Choice Pantry. Field trip: we will gather at noon at Merry Day Park off of Reagh Way in Oxford. Hosted by the Social Justice Committee, HUUC.

Sunday Service: Flower Communion and Religious Education Recognition

Please bring a flower to share for our annual Flower Communion on May 27th, the last service before our summer programming begins in June.  We will celebrate Spring with flowers and Genevieve O’Malley Knight will recognize the children, teachers, and helpers who participated in Hopedale’s RE program. Around the world more than a billion women and children risk their lives and/or health every day in order to cook the family’s food.  The environmental cost is also staggering.  Solar cooking could be and important part of the solution.
